The challenge
Anna Tanner’s, a dedicated politician from the Swiss Social Democratic Party, was due to be redesigned in the run-up to the 2023 National Council elections. The aim was to create a fresh, modern online presence to improve the user experience and build more updated and expanded content. Anna Tanner chose to work with GSF Creations after identifying with our values and which also corresponds to her political priorities.
The process
Our first step was a comprehensive briefing in which Anna’s goals, values and desired core messages were defined. We analysed the existing website and identified areas for improvement in terms of user guidance and design. At the same time, we incorporated new content that communicated Anna’s commitment and political agenda more clearly and gave visitors the opportunity to sign up for the newsletter, help with the election campaign and find out about upcoming appearances. Finally, we integrated a donation function so that interested parties could support Anna in financing the election campaign. It was particularly important to us to place Anna as a person at the website’s centre and convey the central political content. In terms of design, we opted for an approach that blends professionalism with Anna’s slightly activist attitude. It was important to us to find the right balance that would appeal to the widest possible audience.
The solution
The result is a dynamic, appealing and bilingual website that presents Anna Tanner as an accessible, progressive and committed left-wing politician. The optimised user interface and fresh content make it easy to find out about Anna’s political work and actively support her, be it with a donation via the RaiseNow tool or by actively participating in the election campaign.
