An online shop and web revamp for a Swiss nonprofit

The challenge

Glocal Roots is a Swiss, non-profit association that supports people on the move to become resilient and independent. With six projects in Switzerland and Greece and an extensive team of dedicated volunteers, Glocal Roots offers a wide range of support services, from relief distribution to integration initiatives. The starting point for our collaboration with Glocal Roots was the need to standardise the existing website, improve the structure and usage, and integrate a WooCommerce shop to sell the items from their new social enterprise.

The process

After working closely with the management of Glocal Roots, we first harmonised the look of the existing website, added fresh content and updated existing information. We then integrated with WooCommerce to launch an attractive and tailor-made online shop. We also introduced the popular TWINT payment method and developed an interactive shopping cart. All of these innovations have been combined in a visually appealing mega-menu that offers users clear and easy navigation through the website.

The solution

The result is a modern, attractive and rich website that provides comprehensive information about the work of Glocal Roots, motivating users to donate and enabling easy access to their online shop.
