The challenge
The Crotchet Factory has been providing music classes for children and adults in central Bristol for over 25 years. A place of laughter and learning, The Crotchet Factory had for years had a homemade website hosted on Wix. Keen to have a simple but more professional website, and spurred on by increasing annual costs from Wix, The Crotchet Factory came to us to provide a solution.
The process
We worked with The Crotchet Factory to gather together the key information, graphics and contact information they needed. We agreed on a simple 1-page site that gives an overview of their classes, and makes it easy to get in touch to find out more. We also implemented on-site SEO with a focus on optimising for local searches in the Bristol area. During the process, we moved the site away from Wix to open source WordPress and hosted it on our servers, providing local, green hosting via our brilliant UK-based sustainable provider, Kualo.
The solution
The result is a colourful and playful website that provides all the key information clearly and quickly for the website visitor. The website has a child-friendly feel but at the same time communicates the professionalism that underpins The Crotchet Factory’s years of expertise in music teaching. By hosting the site with our green hosting provider and building it on WordPress, we also managed to save The Crotchet Factory a couple of hundred pounds a year, a bonus win for a small but brilliant business.
